Cassis: Le Bonaparte is la cure gourmande

Wherever I go, food is always a feature. In Cassis we found the small but phenomenal Le Bonaparte. Dining there felt like coming home after a long absence and being fed the best of Mama’s food. Affordable and simply prepared seafood that made you drool long after digestion. Simplicity IS what makes perfection evident!

I've been going there since Jean Marie opened and its the best value in dining I've experienced. We're going to be there again in September 2007.

Lucky duck you are! I wish we ate there for all our meals while in Cassis. You'll have to let me know what you'll have in September so I can drool about it in my dreams. Merci Tom

My wife and son and I ate at Le Bonaparte this evening. It's a WONDERFUL little restaurant. Jean Marie (owner?) came to our table to ask about the meal, asked about where we were from (US) and then poured us a lovely apertif (something like the Cassis version of grappa). We've been here for a few days and we've eaten at a few of the restaurants by the harbor -- this is much better.
On to Avignon tomorrow.
Bon!
Pat

Went there in 2007 and it was up to Jean Marie's usual standard. Went several time in 2008 and we have a reservation for September 16, 2009
